Rocking Donkey Stud is located on a picturesque 130-acre property in Exeter, in the NSW Southern Highlands. The stud specialises in breeding friendly, affectionate miniature donkeys and also offers a charming farm stay cottage where guests can enjoy the peaceful rural surroundings.
Project Goals:
The existing WordPress website had served the business well for many years, but its theme hadn’t been updated in a decade, preventing essential PHP upgrades and creating potential security risks. The client was happy with the original design, so the goal was a cost-effective rebuild that retained its familiar appearance while improving security, functionality and search engine visibility.
Our Approach:
I rebuilt the website using WordPress and Elementor, retaining the original design style while refreshing the layout and improving usability. Existing donkey information was reorganised into individual posts, creating more opportunities for search engine indexing and making content easier to manage.
The updated website also showcases the farm stay cottage, photo galleries and donkey breeding information, with improved SEO and clear contact options. The result is a familiar-looking website built on a modern, maintainable foundation.
