Client Overview:
The Hill Top Shooting Complex is a major outdoor shooting range located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, catering to sporting shooters, families, clubs, and organised events. The facility is managed by the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia NSW (SSAA NSW), one of Australia’s leading shooting sports organisations. The range supports a wide variety of disciplines and activities, providing a safe, well-managed environment for both experienced shooters and those new to the sport.
Project Goals:
Following SSAA NSW taking over management of the Hill Top Shooting Complex, the key objective was to create a standalone website for the venue. The site needed a fresh, clear design that aligned with SSAA NSW’s existing fonts and colour palette, while establishing Hill Top as its own destination. Priorities included displaying important updates via a scrolling news feed above the fold, providing clear information for shooters and families, supporting online bookings through FareHarbor, and making it easy for visitors to join SSAA NSW.
Our Approach:
We designed a practical, easy-to-navigate website that balances clarity with flexibility for ongoing updates. Built on WordPress with Elementor, the site allows SSAA NSW staff to easily manage content while maintaining visual consistency with the broader SSAA NSW brand.
A dynamic scrolling news feed was positioned prominently above the fold, ensuring key announcements, closures, and updates are immediately visible. Clear sections explain the different services, user groups, and activities available at the range, helping both new and returning visitors understand what to expect.
Online bookings were integrated via FareHarbor to streamline reservations, while clear calls-to-action guide users to contact the venue or join SSAA NSW.
