Somewhere Unique is a luxury couples’ accommodation retreat located in Wollombi, in the heart of the Hunter Valley. Offering romantic getaways in a peaceful bushland setting, the property has become one of the region’s most celebrated destinations for relaxation and reconnection.
This project holds a special place for us – we not only built the original website, but also built the cabins and business itself from the ground up, transforming a vacant block of land into an award-winning accommodation experience. Although we sold the business in 2015, it remains an important part of our story, sparking our enduring passion for tourism and hospitality.
Project Goals:
The goal of this project was to refresh the existing website to reflect the property’s luxury positioning, showcase its unique setting, and enable online bookings. The new site needed to highlight the guest experience, integrate video and social media, and provide clear calls to action for reservations and enquiries.

We designed an elegant, nature-inspired WordPress website that reflects the serenity and exclusivity of the retreat. The site integrates the property’s online reservation system, an embedded YouTube video, and guest testimonials to enhance trust and engagement. TripAdvisor and social media integration allow guests to share their experiences, while a blog provides a platform for updates and regional insights. The final result is a website that continues to showcase the beauty and story of Somewhere Unique – a place truly close to our hearts.
