Reading Friends Australia is a registered charity dedicated to improving children’s literacy across regional Australia. Their mission is to help children with poor reading skills reach their full potential by providing more opportunities for them to practise reading in supportive, one-on-one sessions. Through a growing network of volunteers, Reading Friends Australia partners with schools across NSW to nurture confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of learning.
Project Goals:
This project was a complete rebuild of an existing WordPress website that had been difficult for the client to manage and update. The goal was to create a fresh, user-friendly design that empowers the team to maintain their content easily while clearly communicating their mission and programs. The site needed to showcase who the charity is, highlight participating schools, encourage volunteer sign-ups, and provide straightforward ways to donate or get involved.
Our Approach:
We rebuilt the website on WordPress using Elementor to give Reading Friends Australia full control over their content management. The new design is bright, accessible, and purpose-driven – balancing storytelling with functionality. An interactive map shows all participating NSW schools, while clear calls-to-action guide visitors to volunteer, donate, or learn more about the program. Additional resources for volunteers, a news blog, and integrated PayPal donations ensure the site supports both engagement and growth. The result is an inspiring, easy-to-navigate platform that helps Reading Friends Australia continue their vital work in supporting children’s literacy.
