Client Overview:
Wollombi Landcare is a volunteer-based non-profit organisation in the Hunter Valley focused on supporting environmental sustainability, conservation, and community education initiatives throughout the Wollombi region. Through collaboration with local residents, landholders, and community groups, Wollombi Landcare contributes to projects including bush regeneration, habitat restoration, and wildlife protection initiatives such as wombat awareness programs.
Project Goals:
The goal of this project was to rebuild the organisation’s existing website following issues accessing their previous Wix platform. The new site needed to provide a stable, easy-to-manage online presence that allowed the committee to update information independently moving forward.
The website also needed to clearly communicate the group’s environmental projects and community involvement, while encouraging membership growth, newsletter signups, volunteer engagement, and community enquiries.
Our Approach:
I created a clean, simple WordPress website designed to be accessible, easy to navigate, and straightforward for committee members to manage in the future. The layout focuses on clearly presenting Wollombi Landcare’s mission, current projects, and opportunities for community involvement.
Integrated tools including a Facebook feed, newsletter signup form, and embedded Google membership application form helping support ongoing engagement with members and volunteers. Clear calls-to-action throughout the site encourage visitors to learn more, become involved, or get in touch with the organisation directly.
